We are the Gaming Samurai Group, a group of gamers focused mainly on PC games, who enjoy each other's company and respect one another's opinions. We strive to be a part of the greater gaming community (alongside of various other guilds, clans and groups) representing honesty, fairness and good, fun, clean gaming! Our Gaming Samurai website and forums currently focus around Section 8: Prejudice and Global Agenda gaming. Several of our members enjoy several other games however. Section 8: Prejudice! Cable (aka Cable2070) is now heading our Section 8 Prejudice division. Cable is currently organizing a group to engage in the latest Section 8 Prejudice tournament. Contact Cable on our game forum for more information.

Server Upgrade: As the website and the GSG Roster grow, I'm finding the need to make more space. So we recently upgraded our server. "What does this mean?" I'm glad you asked. It means that we now have even MORE email addresses, databases and general accommodations for our members.

New Gaming Blog: I'm working on getting up a WordPress install for members to blog about... well, whatever they want. Rather than an open forum, this will be a place for self expression, information and many other things that you would like to share with the public at large. I plan on making at least a Game section and a Tech section. More details soon. Contact me if you would like more info and are interested in being a contributer.

New Teamspeak3 Server: We have been having some trouble with Teamspeak lately so I moved it to a different host server. Our teamspeak3 server is now being hosted on a Gentoo Linux station that I have been working on configuring for awhile. It's up and running and I love it. Check out the details in the forums.

Civilization V was released awhile ago and several of us have taken an immediate interest. SEVEN PRINCIPLES
From "The Zen Way to the Martial Arts"
Bushido, the way of the samurai, grew out of the fusion of Buddhism and Shintoism. This way can be summarized in seven essential principles:
1. Gi: the right decision, taken with equanimity, the right attitude, the truth. When we must die, we must die. Rectitude.
2. Yu: bravery tinged with heroism.
3. Jin: universal love, benevolence toward mankind; compassion.
4. Rei: right action--a most essential quality, courtesy.
5. Makoto: utter sincerity; truthfulness.
6. Melyo: honor and glory.
7. Chugo: devotion, loyalty.
These are the seven principles underlying the spirit of Bushido, Bu--martial arts; shi--warrior; do the way.
The way of the samurai is imperative and absolute. Practice, in the body, through the unconscious, is fundamental to it, thus the enormous importance attached to the learning of right action or behavior.
Bushido has influenced Buddhism, and Buddhism has influenced Bushido; the elements of Buddhism found in Bushido are five:
- Pacification of the emotions;
- Tranquil compliance with the inevitable;
- Self-control in the face of any event;
- A more intimate exploration of death than of life;
- Pure poverty.
